Remembering D-Day

It was 70yrs ago to the day (June 6, 1944) that Allied Forces advanced on France with one of the largest, strategic military invasions in our world’s history.

For any remaining U.S. veterans still alive from WWII and the European campaign, it is easy to imagine that some of the memories may have faded over time… but that the bonds of brotherhood that were formed during the war never will.  These are the bonds that also bind us as members of the VFW.

On this day, the 70th Anniversary of D-Day, we proudly salute our VFW brothers and sisters for all that they courageously sacrificed to rid the world of tyranny.  And we thank you for all the freedoms we enjoy today.

You are not forgotten.
